2010 PEI Soccer award winners

The Prince Edward Island Soccer Association announced its 2010 award winners at its annual awards banquet. Jonathan Vos and Tessa Roche were the big winners as the male and female Senior Players of the Year.

The Prince Edward Island Soccer Association announced its 2010 award winners at its annual awards banquet. Jonathan Vos and Tessa Roche were the big winners as the male and female Senior Players of the Year.



Other award winners were Junior Players of the Year Simon Hood and Jenna Jo McDonald, Coach of the Year John Diamond, Senior Referee of the Year Cory Deagle, Junior Referee of the Year Kristyn Visser, Administrator of the Year Garth Watters, Volunteer of the Year Marta Irvine, Lowell Stewart Memorial Award winner Joshua Arsenault, and Team of the Year Churchill Arms.



Vos was captain of Churchill Arms senior men’s soccer team that won the 2010 BMO National Championships Challenge Trophy competition. Vos helped Churchill Arms win 2:0 after extra time over Gorge FC of Victoria, BC in the championship final in Charlottetown, PE.



Roche, meanwhile, helped Pilot House-Sherwood Rangers finish fourth in the BMO National Championships Jubilee Trophy competition. Roche won her second-straight PEI Soccer Association Senior Female Player of the Year award.
