Match Report

Canada won 3:0 over Trinidad and Tobago to secure a spot in the semi-finals at the 2017 CONCACAF Boys' Under-15 Championship. Jérémie Omeonga-Nkoy scored a brace before Cameron Da Silva capped off the scoring in Canada's third match in four days.

With the win, Canada finished in second place in Group B in CONCACAF Division 1. Canada posted two wins and one loss, only falling on the first day to group winners USA. Canada will next face Group A winners Mexico in the first semi-final while USA will play Panama in the other semi-final.

In the Wednesday win over Trinidad and Tobago, Omeonga-Nkoy opened the scoring in the 12th minute after he capitalised on a rebound from an initial stop by goalkeeper Kernel La Fon. 

In the second half, Omeonga-Nkoy made it 2-0 in the 38th minute after he finished on a goal mouth scramble in the box. Just five minutes later, Cameron Da Silva scored on a rocket from 35 metres out. 

LINEUPS & NOTES:
Canada's starting XI featured Marc Kouadio in goal, Nathan Demian at right back, Maxime Bourgeois and Cameron Da Silva at centre back, Brandon Phelps at left back, and Matthew Radivojsa, Ralph Priso-Mbongue, Jayden Nelson, Malik Henry, Tomas Ribeiro, and Rafael Pinzon from the midfield up through to the attack.

In the first half, coach Paul Stalteri replaced hurt Pinzon with Jérémie Omeonga-Nkoy (9'). In the second half, he replaced Radivojsa with Sean Rea (36'), Nelson with Deandre Kerr (53'), Henry with Nicolas Desjardins (53'), Ribeiro with Julian Accettola (53'), and Omeonga-Nkoy with Trivine Esprit (55').

Trinidad and Tobago's starting XI featured Kernel La Fon (goal), Randy Antoine, Darian Bradshaw, Cephas St. Rose, Marc Wharfe, Jabari Lee, Josiah Edwards, Jayie Sheppard, Adriel George, Jean-Heim McFee, and Justin Araujo-Wilson.
