CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying

Canada won a silver medal at the 2008 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, of note qualifying for the Women's Olympic Football Tournament for the first time in program history. In the semi-final match that sent Canada to the Beijing 2008 Olympics, Melissa Tancredi scored the lone goal in a 1:0 win over Mexico. In the CONCACAF final, Canada and USA were drawn 1:1 after extra time, but then USA won 6-5 on kicks from the penalty mark.
