Canada's women's U-17 team has clinched a spot in the semi-final at the CONCACAF Women's Under-17 Championship. With a 4:3 victory over Jamaica, Canada is guaranteed either first or second place in Group B. Canada will now face Mexico on Monday 21 July in its last round-robin game. The winner will take first place in Group B.



Canada had a 3-2 lead over Jamaica going into the second half, but Jamaica tied the score with less than 15 minutes to play. Canada's Amy Harrison scored the winner in the 83rd minute to secure the three points.



Shelina Zadorsky scored first for Canada while Tiffany Cameron scored a pair. Canada has seven goals scored and three goals against in two games at the inaugural CONCACAF Women's Under-17 Championship. Mexico has 10 goals scored with no goals allowed in two games.



Canada, whose title sponsor is BMO, is one of eight teams participating in the CONCACAF Women's Under-17 Championship in Trinidad & Tobago. Canada's first three games all take place in Bacolet. The top-three teams in the tournament advance to the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup New Zealand 2008.
