    OVERVIEW

    Canada Soccer is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital Marketing Manager to lead the execution of digital campaigns and ensure a consistent, engaging fan and community experience across all digital touchpoints. This role will play a pivotal part in bringing Canada Soccer’s marketing initiatives to life online, deepening fan and community engagement, and supporting strategic initiatives in the build-up to the FIFA World Cup 26™ and beyond.

    The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented, and data-informed marketer with experience managing email marketing programs, digital advertising, and content activation across multiple channels. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to deliver high-impact digital marketing activations and campaigns that grow the game and connect Canadians to soccer at every level.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Email Marketing & Audience Optimization

    • Manage the planning, execution, and optimization of Canada Soccer’s email marketing strategy, including fan communications, newsletters, and lifecycle campaigns.
    • Initiate audience segmentation, personalization, and automation to deliver relevant, timely, and engaging content.
    • Track and report on key performance metrics to inform campaign strategy and improve fan and supporter engagement and retention.

    Digital Campaign Execution & Management

    • Contribute to the development and delivery of integrated digital marketing campaigns to support Canada Soccer’s key initiatives, including CanadaRED, Club+, National Team activities, and FIFA World Cup 26™ related programs.
    • Manage campaign planning, scheduling, and performance reporting across digital channels including email, digital, and paid media.
    • Collaborate with internal creative, communications, content, and program teams to develop compelling campaign assets and messaging aligned with Canada Soccer’s brand and tone.
    • Ensure campaigns are optimized for reach, engagement, and conversion, using data and analytics to drive continuous improvement.

    Digital Experience & Fan Engagement

    • Ensure a seamless, consistent, and high-quality fan experience across Canada Soccer’s digital ecosystem — including email, digital, and partner platforms.
    • Support the development and evolution of fan and supporter journeys, with a focus on deepening engagement and driving participation in programs and memberships.
    • Work closely with the content, social, and program teams to align storytelling and visual identity across digital channels.

    Marketing Department Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

    • Serve as a digital marketing lead within Canada Soccer’s marketing team, providing expertise and support across departments, including support for Partnerships, Events/Competitions, Philanthropy, Communications, National Teams, and Development programming.
    • Liaise with external vendors, agencies, and partners to deliver best-in-class campaign execution.
    • Contribute to strategic planning for key Federation initiatives and major events/programs.
    • Embrace a flexible, team-first approach, adapting day-to-day responsibilities to align with evolving Federation and Department priorities across programs and events which will require active contributions across a range of projects and responsibilities.
    • Support all marketing initiatives, contributing to team priorities wherever required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
    • 3+ years of professional experience in digital/email marketing, ideally in sports, entertainment, or consumer brands.
    • Proven experience managing email marketing programs, CRM systems, and digital campaign analytics.
    • Experience working with marketing automation tools (e.g., Constant Contact, etc.) and digital media analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, fan engagement strategies, and content best practices.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills with an eye for brand voice and storytelling.
    • Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
    • Collaborative team player comfortable working in a cross-functional environment.
    • Passion for soccer and understanding of the Canadian sports landscape is a strong asset.
    • Proficiency in French is an asset
    • Experience in the operation and management of membership and/or loyalty programs is an asset.

    Work Environment

    • On occasion, work staggered hours, evenings, and weekends
    • On occasion, travel will be required
