The 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship brought the national spotlight to Regina, Saskatchewan. Organized by FC Regina and hosted at the REAL District from April 10–13, 2025, the event brought together sixteen of the country’s top men’s and women’s amateur futsal clubs for four days of fast-paced, high-stakes competition.

Event Recap

The championship spread across two venues within the REAL District, the Brandt Centre and the Brunswick Steel Arena, with three days of group stage matches setting the stage for Sunday’s medal rounds.

The men’s final was one to remember. Atlético Gatineau found themselves down 2–0 to 9 de Octubre FC Toronto before battling back in remarkable fashion. Adam Péladeau completed a hat trick late in the second half to seal a 3–2 win, breaking the record for most goals scored by a single player in Futsal Canadian Championship history. In the women’s final, Saskatoon SK Impact FC claimed the title in front of a passionate home crowd, a popular result for the host province.

FC Regina covered admission for all 32 matches, opening the doors to fans from across the country at no cost. With competitors representing eight provinces and territories, the tournament was a strong reflection of just how widely the sport has taken root in Canada.
