The Championship Explained
Canada Soccer’s Futsal Canadian Championship is hosted each April across two divisions: the Men’s Futsal Canadian Championship and the Women’s Futsal Canadian Championship.
Futsal is an exciting and fast-paced sport played indoors on a small court with five players to each side. It features a sport-specific ball that does not bounce the same way as a traditional football bounces on grass or turf and the sport features its own unique Futsal Laws of the Game which differ from traditional football. Each match features two 20-minute halves with the clock stopped each time the match is interrupted as well as rolling substitutions so that players can come in and out of the match.
