Overview

Connecting classrooms and communities through the beautiful game.

Soccer in Schools is a national initiative by Canada Soccer designed to bring the joy and benefits of soccer directly into classrooms across the country. The program helps teachers deliver fun, inclusive, and educational soccer experiences — while connecting schools with their local community clubs to create lasting pathways to play.

Through curriculum-aligned lesson plans, teacher training, and free student playbooks, Soccer in Schools aims to inspire kids to get active, build confidence, and stay connected to the sport in their community.

Canada Soccer envisions a country where every child can access quality sport and recreation in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Compared to many sports, soccer is simple to play, affordable, and accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

The program helps remove barriers by equipping teachers with the tools, confidence, and curriculum to deliver meaningful soccer experiences — even without prior soccer expertise.
