communicator to share the exciting story of our Men’s National Team with the world.

For an experienced communicator with a passion for soccer and the ability to travel extensively, this presents an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills. With at least three to five years’ experience in professional media or communications environments and strong listening and people skills, the National Men’s Team Communications Manager will work with Canada’s National Men’s Team at home and abroad, to share the team’s growing success

As part of an experienced communications team under award winning communications leadership, you can help author strategic and captivating written content, preferably in both English and French, provide exceptional service to professional media, and design high quality multi-media content. As a communications lead for the Men’s National Team program, you have confident oral skills and can offer strategic media advice as required.

This is an exceptional communications growth opportunity. The position reports to the Chief Communications and Content Officer, an accomplished digital content, brand, and public relations professional with extensive communications experience at the professional sports, Olympics and government sectors level.

The Men’s National Team Communications Manager position requires a high energy and passionate communicator. In addition to extensive national and global travel, this job includes working weekends and evenings in a fast-paced, diverse, and high-profile soccer environment. Armed with a passion for the game, a university level degree in communications or a related discipline, working knowledge of digital communications technology, and familiarity with sports and entertainment mass and digital media, your role will be to help design and implement an effective communications strategy for Canada’s Men’s National Team.

With its Men’s National Team having recently returned to the FIFA World Cup after successfully winning the Concacaf Final Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Canada Soccer is poised for a period of accelerated growth on the pathway to being a co-host of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ alongside Mexico and United States.

Canada Soccer is the official governing body for soccer in Canada. In partnership with its members, Canada Soccer promotes the growth and development of soccer in Canada, from grassroots to high performance, and on a national scale.

Soccer is the largest participatory sport in Canada and is considered the fastest growing sport in the country. There are nearly 1,000,000 registered Canada Soccer active participants in Canada within 1,200 clubs that operate in 13 provincial/territorial member associations.
