1915 Dominion of Canada Football Championship

The 1915 Dominion of Canada Football Championship featured a new elimination format, with four teams split into a West vs. East competition. The Manitoba representatives Winnipeg Scottish FC came out on top, eliminating Fort William CPR in the Semifinals and then Toronto Lancashire FC in the Final.

Winnipeg went undefeated in four matches, scoring nine goals and conceding just two. In the Canadian Final, they traveled east by train where they faced their hosts Toronto Lancashire. After a 0:0 draw, they completely overwhelmed their opponents in the second match, scoring six times to win the match and clinch the series.

Winnipeg were “worthy winners” of the Connaught Cup. In the Final, George Mair (two), Charles Forsyth (two), Billy Corrie, and Jocko Anderson were the goalscorers.
