Ottawa, Ontario The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) today announced its Women’s World Cup Team will play France on Thursday, April 28th in Laval, Quebec at the Laval Multi-Sport Complex in Quebec at 7:00 PM.
Canada, ranked 11th, and France, who is currently ranked ninth in the world, have met twice before. Canada was defeated 0:1 in their first encounter on April 11, 1995 in Poissy, France. In their second match, played on April 6, 2002 in Angoulème, France, Canada won 2:0, with goals from Kara Lang and Andrea Neil.
Tickets are available through the Québec Soccer Federation, located at the Laval Multi-Sport Complex, 955 Avenue Bois-de-Boulogne, in Laval, or by phone at (450) 975-3355. Individual tickets are priced at $15.00 each. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at a discount rate of $10.00 per person.
