The official draw for the Olympic Football Tournaments Beijing 2008 will be held in Beijing, China, at 19.00h local time this coming Sunday 20 April.
Twenty-eight teams (sixteen men’s, twelve women’s) will be competing in this summer’s Olympic Football Tournaments to be played in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang and Qinhuangdao from 6 to 23 August 2008.

The last team to qualify will be known after the women’s qualifying play-off between Brazil and Ghana in Beijing Workers’ Stadium at 19.45h local time on Saturday (lists of players are available on FIFA.com).
The draw format will be officialised by the bureau of the Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments, chaired by FIFA Vice-President Dr Mong Joon Chung, after the last qualifying match between Brazil and Ghana.
Those present at the draw ceremony will include FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter, Chinese Minister of the General Administration of Sport Liu Peng, FIFA Vice-President and chairman of the Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments Dr Mong Joon Chung, BOCOG’s Executive Vice-President Yang Shu’an, FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke and Chinese Football Association Vice-President and General Secretary Xie Ya Long.
The draw will be conducted by FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke.
The ceremony will last approximately one hour and will feature Chinese folk dances and other entertainment.
