Canada moved up one spot from the last ranking in September (from 13th to 12th), slipping ahead of China PR. The only other movement on the top-12 list was France moving into ninth place ahead of Denmark.

Canada is looking forward to competing in next year’s CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup, the competition that will qualify two or three teams from the region to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011. Canada has qualified for each of the past four FIFA Women’s World Cups.
