Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association today launched several new features on its English and French website migmultidev-canada-soccer.pantheonsite.io in accordance with the aims and objectives associated with the Blueprint for Success. As of today, the CSA website boasts a new Fun and Games Zone, Weekly Poll section as well as a revamped Coaching Centre.
The new Fun and Games Zone includes three interactive games. This section is comprised of an interactive jigsaw puzzle, colouring book and a soccer skill game aimed for kids of all ages.
The Weekly Poll is an additional tool the CSA has incorporated into its website where users can voice their opinions about various topics. In the future, a competitive element will be added to this section where readers will be able to win prizes for the correct answer to quiz questions.
The new Coaching Centre contains more coaching information including practice plans and soccer rules. Each month a new set of soccer skills will be the focus of the Coaching Centre beginning with dribbling and passing. All practice plans have been designed to download and print, making them accessible to coaches. As of May, a new “Drill of the Month” will be added to this section.
In the near future, the Referee Centre section on our website will be re-developed with the help of Sonia Denoncourt, CSA Community Referee Development Coordinator. The focus will be to dispense technical information of value to local referees across Canada.
Later this year a chat room will be developed to allow users to chat with a National Team player, coach or a referee periodically. In addition, an Online Store will be created using a digital catalog, which will show the items available. An order form will be made available to download and all orders will be emailed directly (or faxed) to the Web Administrator for processing.
