Connor Hildebrandt, Rheanne Sleiman
Connor Hildebrandt and Rheanne Sleiman were honoured as BC Soccer’s Adult Players of the Year. Both players helped their respective teams reach the BC Cup provincial finals in May, with Hildebrandt starring for Aldergrove United and Sleiman captaining North Shore Girls SC.
Other award winners included Joshua Pikul and Brooke Mussche as Youth Player of the Year, Les Krivak as Adult Coach of the Year, Brian Johnston as Youth Coach of the Year, Rubin Smilev as Adult Official of the Year, Sara Abelenda as Youth Official of the Year, and Chris Wattam as the Werner Winsemann High Performance Referee Award winner.
Matthew Campbell won Administrator of the Year, Bob Lenarduzzi won the Special Recognition Award, Ella Sandoval-Carlsten won the Woman of Distinction award, and Bob Sawtell won the Sanford Award. Charlie Cuzzetto was presented with BC Soccer Life Membership.
The BC Soccer President’s Award went to Coastal FC while the Fair Play Award presented by Clarkes went to the North Delta FC. The BC Soccer Award of Merit winners were Carlos Amaral, Graham Cope, Rosemary Davis, Glen Martin, Thomas Mills, Al Moir, Mike Oldale, Frank Palmieri, Claudio Ramirez, and John Sneddon.
