Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC qualified for Canada Soccer’s National Championships for the second time in three years after they won BC Soccer’s 2026 Women’s “A” Cup. Coquitlam’s Kiera Scott was the goalscoring hero after she scored both the 1-0 and 2-1 goals against Trinity Western University in the provincial Final at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey on Saturday 2 May.

This year’s National Championships will take place in the City of Ottawa when Ottawa Gloucester SC hosts the women’s Jubilee Trophy and men’s Challenge Trophy competitions for the first time. World-renown for its culture, entertainment and sporting heroes, the City of Ottawa and the nation’s capital region will welcome Canada’s top amateur teams from 8-12 October 2026.

National runners up in 2024, Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC were provincial runners up in 2023 and 2024 and they were provincial winners in 2019. Before 2019, they won both the provincial and national titles in 1994 when they boasted future Hall of Fame heroes Geri Donnelly, Suzanne Muir, Andrea Neil, and goalscoring hero Joan McEachern.

For the 2026 BC Cup Final, Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC’s lineup featured Erin Uchacz (captain), Salina Ali, Eliana Arapi, Lauren Askew, Erica Augsten, Megan Avery, Alanna Bekkering, Caitlin Davie, Jessica Gill, Jennifer Harkison, Eden Holins, Raegan Mackenzie, Isabella Muzzollini, Danae Robillard, Kiera Scott, Courtney Sheppard, Emily Smith, Kate Smith, and Mikayla Tupper. Not dressed for the provincial final, Danielle Coss and Katie Richardson were also part of the winning squad.

Canada Soccer’s National Championships are hosted each October across multiple divisions and venues, with other host cities to be announced in the coming months. As Canada Soccer’s largest national event featuring clubs from coast to coast to coast, the National Championships provide a meaningful week-long soccer experience for host cities and participating teams, as well as the players, coaches, support staff, officials, and volunteers.
