Saskatoon Green & White, the 2024 national champions, won their match 4:1 over Winnipeg Pioneers FC in the other Semifinals match.

Montréal and Saskatoon also faced each other Thursday on the opening day of the 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship, with Montréal the 6:0 winners to open the competition.

For the first time ever, the 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship featured knockout matches including the Friday Quarterfinals and Saturday Semifinals. The enhanced format ensures a full four-day competition with meaningful matches for all participating teams.

At the elite club level, Canada Soccer supports domestic futsal through the annual Futsal Canadian Championship for men and women. The Men’s Futsal Canadian Championship was launched in 2015, with the Women’s Futsal Canadian Championship introduced in 2023, reflecting the continued growth of the sport nationwide. This past year, Canada qualified for the first edition of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup™.

Earlier in the day, the Canadian Final for the Men’s 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship will be played at 14.15 local time (16.15 ET / 13.15 PT).
