Canada Soccer have announced the 21 players who will represent Canada Soccer’s Men’s U-17 National Team in the 2026 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers. The eight group winners from the region will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup, set to be played in Qatar at the end of the year.
“This group has earned the right to wear the shirt. Now the work starts. Our focus is on preparation, standards, and competing on the front foot. Nothing is given at this level. We have to earn everything through our habits, our mentality, and our willingness to compete. Every match is an opportunity to impose ourselves and take responsibility. This group knows what’s at stake and is ready for the challenge.” – Shane Lammie, Men’s U-17 National Team Head Coach
CANM17 have been drawn in Group G for the 2026 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers alongside Aruba, Cayman Islands and Jamaica. The qualifiers consist of a single round, in which the participating teams are split into eight groups. Each team will play against each group opponent once, with the eight group winners qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Matches will be divided across six venues with Costa Rica hosting the Group G matches from 2-11 February 2026.
Canada will play Cayman Islands on 6 February, Aruba on 8 February, and Jamaica on 11 February.
FIFA announced in January 2025 that the FIFA U-17 World Cup™ will be expanded to 48 teams and take place on an annual basis between 2025 and 2029.
