#CANM16 gather in preparation of Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers in February
Canada Soccer has announced a 23-player squad for the 4 Nations Tournament in Mexico this November. CANM16 will face Costa Rica on 26 November, the Dominican Republic on 27 November, and Mexico on 28 November at Unidad Deportiva San Juan Cuautlancingo in Puebla, Mexico.
With the announcement of the annual FIFA Men’s U-17 World Cup beginning in 2025, Canada Soccer is investing in preparing the 2026 Men’s U-17 cycle through projects for the 2009 age group in 2025. CANM16 recently participated in a UEFA youth development tournament in Poland this May, as well as the Memorial José Gaydu U16 Football Tournament in Guadeloupe in the same month.
“We’re excited to get another look at the 2009 age group as we prepare for February’s qualifiers. After two successful camps earlier this year, we have a strong foundation in place and plenty to build on as we look toward 2026.” – Shane Lammie, Men’s U-16 National Team Head Coach
