Halifax Hotspurs SC will face Calgary Blizzard SC in the Sunday Final at the Women’s 2025 Masters Championship. The two sides will go head to head in the Canadian Final after winning their respective groups from Thursday through Saturday at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.
Both the men’s and women’s Finals will be played indoors on Sunday 5 October at the Winnipeg Soccer Federation building, with the men’s Final scheduled for 09.15 local time and the women’s Final scheduled for 11.15 local time. The medal presentation for each division will take place after each respective Final.
Both Halifax and Calgary went undefeated in the group phase. Halifax were even on points with Edmonton Drillers Green & Gold, but Halifax won the group on account of their better goals difference (seven points with +4 goals difference compared to seven points with +2 goals difference). Calgary, meanwhile, won all three of their group matches for a perfect nine points in three matches.
Canada Soccer’s Masters Championship serves as a pinnacle event to the 2025 season, bringing together the best Masters clubs from across the country. This marks the first year that men’s and women’s Masters teams have been brought together in one host city as opposed to regional competitions in the west and east.
