New multi-year initiative to support community soccer clubs across Canada with tools, templates, and strategies to help grow the game
Today, Canada Soccer unveils Club+, a new multi-year initiative designed to support community clubs across the country. At the core of the new platform is a digital hub with tools, templates, guides, and inspiration to help clubs grow, engage their communities, and convert FIFA World Cup 2026™ momentum into lasting grassroots participation.
“Club+ represents our commitment to supporting our membership, and at this key moment for soccer in Canada, we want to ensure every Club, regardless of size or location, has the tools to thrive. By centralizing resources and connecting clubs directly to experts, we’re supporting communities to turn World Cup excitement into sustainable participation.”
– Sara McConaghy, Director, Community Development at Canada Soccer
Club+ is designed for community club operators and organizers – the people who make soccer happen at the local level. Over the next two years, Club+ will offer support to more than 1,500 community clubs, equipping them with resources and support to recruit players, coaches and referees.
“We’re thrilled to be part of Club+ and its potential to grow the game. As we look ahead to the World Cup, initiatives like this will strengthen soccer in our community through meaningful collaboration, centralized support, and shared learning – connecting clubs across our country and benefiting players, coaches, and communities for the long term.”
– Danielle Byers, Club Engagement Manager, Kitchener Soccer Club
