Qualifiers for the 2025 edition of the PDP Championship

Across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Canada Soccer’s four player-development leagues will qualify 32 teams to the second edition of the PDP Championship. The national youth competition features the PDP U-17 Cup and PDP U-15 Cup for both boys and girls.

Canada Soccer’s 2025 PDP Championship runs 26 to 31 August in Vaughan, Ontario.

Here’s an overview of the 2024-25 / 2025 qualifiers that lead to the 2025 competition (along with the total number of clubs participating in each division).

BOYS’ PDP U-17 CUP

Qualifiers for the 2025 PDP Championship:
(10) British Columbia: ten youth teams in the BCSPL from 23 February through 25 May from which the top team qualifies
>> Same teams in the Premier Cup from which the Cup winners (or runners up) qualifies by 21 June
(6) Alberta: 6 youth teams in the APDL from 8 September 2024 through 20 July 2025 from which one team qualifies
>> Same teams in the APDL Cup from which the Cup winner (or league runner up) qualifies by 12 July
(12) ODPL western division, teams advance to 2024 Premier Division
(10) ODPL eastern division, teams advance to 2024 Premier Division
>> Ontario: 10 youth teams in the 2024 Premier Division from which two teams qualify
(11) Québec: 11 youth teams in the PLSJQ starting 27 April from which the top-two mid-season teams qualify by 29 June
