CS Trident, Coquitlam to feature in Jubilee Trophy Final

CS Trident Ancienne-Lorette and Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC will face each other Monday for the Jubilee Trophy in the 2024 Toyota National Championships. The two women’s amateur teams reached the Canadian Final after winning their respective Semifinals on Saturday at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey, British Columbia.

CS Trident Ancienne-Lorette reached the Toyota National Championships Final for the first time while Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC reached the women’s Final for the first time since 1994. CS Trident won 3:1 over Surrey United SC while Coquitlam won 4-3 on kicks after a 1:1 draw with two-time defending champions Holy Cross FC. The 2024 Final will kick off at 13.00 local on Field #1 at Newton Athletic Park with a live broadcast on CanadaSoccerTV (16.00 ET / 13.00 PT).

In the group phase, the two sides were even in a 1:1 draw on the opening day of the Toyota National Championships. Maude Boutin scored in the first half before Coquitlam’s Erica Augsten scored in the second half.

In the Saturday Semifinals, Anaïs Bujold-Samson (two) and Mélodie Beaulieu scored in the CS Trident victory while Sarah Hannigan scored the 1-1 equaliser for Coquitlam before they won 4-3 on kicks.

Canada Soccer’s Toyota National Championships are hosted each October across six divisions in three venues: the men’s Challenge Trophy and women’s Jubilee Trophy (adult competitions) in Surrey, British Columbia; the U-17 Cup in Cape Breton for boys and girls; the U-15 Cup in Quinte West for boys and girls.
