Kamloops, British Columbia has been confirmed as the host for Canada Soccer’s 2025 Toyota National Championships U-17 Cup. Scheduled for the week leading into Thanksgiving Day 2025, the six-day competition will feature amateur youth clubs from across the country for both boys and girls.

“We’re delighted that Kamloops will be hosting the Toyota National Championships U-17 Cup in 2025,” said Mathieu Chamberland, Canada Soccer’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are convinced that Kamloops will help elevate the standards of our premier amateur competition while also showcasing the beauty of the region.”

Canada Soccer’s Toyota National Championships are hosted each October across six divisions in three venues: the premier adult competition for the men’s Challenge Trophy and women’s Jubilee Trophy; the U-17 Cup competition for boys and girls; the U-15 Cup competition for boys and girls.

As Canada Soccer’s largest national event featuring clubs from coast to coast, the Toyota National Championships have served as the nation’s primary amateur soccer competition for more than 100 years, with the men’s competition inaugurated in 1913, the youth competition inaugurated in 1966, and the women’s competition inaugurated in 1982. At all age levels, the Toyota National Championships provide a meaningful week-long soccer experience for host cities and participating teams, as well as the players, coaches, support staff, officials, and volunteers.

Kamloops previously hosted Canada Soccer’s Toyota National Championships in 2013 when the tournament was classified as the U-16 Cup. In the past 10 years, Kamloops has also hosted the 2016 IIHF Women’s World Hockey Championship, the 2018 Canada Basketball U-15/U-17 Championship, the 2019 Canadian Artistic Swimming Championship, the 2022 U-Sport Men’s Soccer Championship, and the 2023 Memorial Cup.

Before next year, Canada Soccer’s 2024 Toyota National Championships will be hosted in Surrey, British Columbia (men’s Challenge Trophy and women’s Jubilee Trophy), Cape Breton, Nova Scotia (U-17 Cup), and Quinte West, Ontario (U-15 Cup) from 9 to 14 October. Announced in July, St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador will host the Challenge Trophy and Jubilee Trophy competitions in 2025. Additional hosts for Canada Soccer’s 2025 national amateur competitions including the Futsal Canadian Championship, Player-Development Program Championship and Toyota National Championships will be announced in the coming months.
