#WeCAN #OuiCAN
Canada Soccer have marked the 50-Day Countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ with the introduction of the #WeCAN Collective, a user-generated digital movement that gives fans a voice and role to join our players and team at Qatar 2022.
The first opportunity to engage with the #WeCAN Collective will be on Sunday 2 October at the Allstate Soccer Show in Toronto. Attendees will have an opportunity to visit the #WeCAN selfie station at the Canada Soccer booth where captured content from visitors will kick off the campaign.
A bilingual, national campaign under Canada Soccer’s We Can signature, using the following hashtags: #WeCAN #OuiCAN.
“We believe we can build one of the most united digital supporters campaign of any nation in the world,” said Dr. Nick Bontis, Canada Soccer President. “The WeCAN Collective movement is a way for all fans of our Men’s National Team to be involved in this historic journey.”
The #WeCAN Collective can be joined digitally from anywhere. To participate, Canadians are invited to submit a video where they say the words ‘We Can’ and one reason that they believe in the Men’s National Team. All fans submitting a message of support will be entered into a contest to win one of two grand prizes of a signed jersey by Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team.
Additional opportunities to engage with the #WeCan Collective will be available to fans across the country with details to be announced on CanadaSoccer.com and Canada Soccer’s digital channels.
Opportunities to support Canada both at home and in Doha will be announced in the coming weeks to ensure all Canadians can be part of the #WeCAN Collective. To find out before anyone else what’s new, we recommend Canadian fans join the CanadaRED Fan Engagement Program, the best way to stay connected to all things Canada Soccer.
To follow Canada Soccer’s journey in Doha, fans are encouraged to visit the CanadaSoccer.com digital hub for its participation at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. The webpage will feature new and regular content in the buildup to Canada’s opening match on 23 November, including the final squad to be announced in November.
