One new National Youth Club Licence holder and two Quality Soccer Providers named for Q3 2021
Canada Soccer announced three new recipients of its National Youth Club Licensing program for Q3 2021. British Columbia club Nanaimo United FC has been named as a National Youth Club Licence holder while Manitoba’s FC Manitoba and Alberta’s Okotoks United Soccer Club were named as provisional Quality Soccer Providers. Each licence has a two-year validity.
The National Youth Club Licence is the highest designation
in the Canada Soccer National Youth Club Licensing Program and fulfills the
requirements for Nanaimo United FC to compete in the British Columbia Soccer
Premier League, the top standards-based competition for youth participants in
BC beginning in 2022. Nanaimo United FC become the 59th National
Youth Club Licence holder.
The Quality Soccer Provider, which Canada Soccer has made a requirement of
membership starting in 2023, ensures that member organization clubs meet the
standards required to fulfill the requirements of Canada Soccer’s Safe Sport
Roster which was unanimously adopted at the 2019 Canada Soccer Annual Meeting
of the Members. With the addition of the two QSP clubs in Q3, the Quality
Soccer Provider designation has now been achieved by more than 50 member
organization clubs across the country.
