Canada’s Julian de Guzman and Mike Klukowski have both been named to the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup All-Tournament Team. Klukowski was selected as one of six defenders while de Guzman was selected as one of six midfielders. In all, 18 players from the 12-team competition were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Mexico’s Giovani dos Santos was named CONCACAF Gold Cup Most Valuable Player. Teammate Mighel Sabah won the Golden Boot Award while Costa Rica’s Keilor Navas won the Best Goalkeeper Award. USA won the Fair Play Award.
De Guzman and Klukowski helped Canada reach the quarter-final stage before losing 0:1 to Honduras on 18 July in Philadelphia. Canada posted two wins, one draw and one loss in the competition.
Along with Klukowski, the All-Tournament Team defenders are Jose Fernandez (CRC), Fausto Pinto (MEX), Luis Moreno (PAN), Clarence Goodson (USA) and Chad Marshall (USA). Along with de Guzman, the All-Tournament Team midfielders are Celso Borges (CRC), Stephane Auvray (GLP), Gerardo Torrado (MEX), dos Santos (MEX) and Stuart Holden (USA). The goalkeepers were Navas (CRC) and Guillermo Ochoa (MEX) while the forwards were Alvaro Saborio (CRC), Walter Martinez (HON), Sabah (MEX) and Kenny Cooper (USA).
