Canada made significant jumps on the ranking in August and October, reaching 53rd on the global list of 207 nations. Canada dropped four spots on the November ranking, although it maintained fifth spot amongst CONCACAF nations.
In 2009, Canada has posted four wins, one draw and three losses. It recently lost 0:3 to FYR Macedonia on 14 November and 0:1 to Poland on 18 November.
As for the world ranking, Spain has resumed the number-one spot ahead of Brazil. Spain and Brazil are followed by Netherlands, Italy and Portugal to round out the top five spots.
