With November’s crucial FIFA World Cup Qualifiers™ looming on the horizon, a youthful Canada’s Men’s National Team squad have enjoyed a productive six-day camp in Orlando, Florida.
With program Head Coach Benito Floro away with the Canadian Men’sU-23 Team at the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament, Assistant Coach Michael Findlay has led the team through its preparations for Tuesday’s Men’s International Friendly against Ghana in Washington D.C., USA.
The camp in Orlando has featured five players – Fraser Aird, Marco Bustos, David “Junior” Hoilett, Wandrille Lefèvre and Charlie Trafford – gaining their first experience with the Men’s National Team.
“This camp has given us the opportunity to bring in some players that we haven’t had with us before,” said Assistant Coach Findlay.
“We have had a chance to evaluate the players physically and tactically; and to help integrate them into the plan that Benito wants to instil into the group.
“We’ve been really pleased with everyone’s performance and application and we’re excited about the prospect of starting the next round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers™ at home in Vancouver next month.”
