Paul-Emile Castonguay... soccer family (brothers Marcel and Roland)... he was married to wife Thérèse Galarneau (they had five children: Lise, Robert, Jean-François, Collette, Paul-Émile Jr)... he was 57 years old when he passed away on 18 January 1975... he was buried at Saint-François-d'Assise in Montréal... noted for having “black curly” hair... worked for Canadian Car and Foundry Co. Ltd...

posthumously honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as a player... posthumously honoured by the Québec Sports Hall of Fame (Temple de la renommée du soccer québecoise)... his brothers Marcel and Roland Castonguay are also honoured members of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame...

with Montréal Carsteel FC, a Dominion of Canada Football Championship winner (Challenge Trophy in 1948)... a four-time Coupe du Québec winner (1938, 1939, 1940, 1948)...

as noted in 1939, all three soccer brothers were “broad shouldered and heavy set”... described by historian Colin Jose as “a prolific goal scorer”... once described in the Montréal Gazette as a “powerful forward”...
