Christopher Bennett... he was five years old when his family moved from London, ENG to North Vancouver, BC... worked for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Co. in Vancouver before moving to Toronto in 1974 to join Canada Soccer’s national team “in being”... earned his Canada Soccer Coaching B Diploma in 1982 and his Canada Soccer Coaching A Diploma a few years later...

honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame... honoured by the Soccer Hall of Fame of British Columbia...

career 16 international appearances across four years from 1973 to 1976, including six international "A" appearances with Canada Soccer's Men's National Team…

served as Canada team staff at one FIFA youth tournament (U-20 at Malaysia 1997)…

with British Columbia, a Canada Games gold medal winner in 1973...

worked for adidas Canada in Toronto... in 2007, the BC Sports Hall of Fame honoured the 2004 Vancouver Whitecaps women’s team (Bennett had coached that team to a USL W-League championship)...

I was hoping that I would one day play in the senior program in the Pacific Coast League. You could fill Callister Park. One of the rivalries was Firefighters, a big strong team, playing ahead Columbus, the Italians, which at times turned out to be full-on war”...

said Chris Bennett in 2018, “1973 was my big year because that was the year we hosted the Canada Summer Games here in British Columbia. It was a who’s who of Canadian soccer playing in that tournament. We beat Ontario in the final 1-0 and they had Peter Roe, Jack Brand, John McGrane and others. We won the game in front of a packed crowd at Swangard Stadium”...
