Jessie Fleming has been named captain of Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team ahead of the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup. The three-time Canada Soccer Player of the Year has been picked to lead her nation at the confederation championship this February as the defending Olympic champions prepare for this summer’s Olympic Football Tournament in July and August.

CANM20 Qualify for Men’s U-20 Concacaf Championship after topping Group D

Canada secured its place in the Concacaf Men’s U-20 Championship by clinching a 3-0 victory against hosts Trinidad and Tobago, winning all three games in Group D qualifying matchplay. The Canadian squad dominated their opponents with an impressive 15-0 goal margin over the course of their three matches at Hasely Crawford Stadium.

Kevin Blue named Canada Soccer General Secretary and CEO

Canada Soccer announced that Kevin Blue has been named its new General Secretary and CEO, bringing with him a range of successful experience in commercial, sport, and chief executive roles. Blue joins Canada Soccer after serving as Golf Canada’s Chief Sport Officer since 2021, where he oversaw a range of functions for the NSO and helped to drive over $20M in new financial support for the national teams and grass roots programming.

CANWNT qualify for semi-finals of inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup

Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team qualified to the semifinals of the Concacaf W Gold Cup with a perfect record. Canada booked its place in the final four after posting a 1-0 extra-time win over Costa Rica in the quarter-final in Los Angeles, and will face USA in the semi on Wednesday 6 March.

Canada Soccer announce 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship Preliminary Round Draw Results

The action is set to kick off this April, with 14 clubs competing across four rounds and 19 matches in the annual “Battle of the North”, competing for the right to be crowned Canadian Champion and raise the Voyageurs Cup. Friday’s draw results established the Preliminary Round matchups as well as the pathway for all clubs through the Quarter-Final stage of the competition.
