Canada Soccer’s 2025 National Championships returned to the historic King George V pitch on the shores of Quidi Vidi Lake—the legendary site where Canada originally qualified for the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Throughout the tournament, the storied pitch bore witness to the latest chapter of local and national soccer history as both the men’s Challenge Trophy and women’s Jubilee Trophy championship matches were decided on its turf.
While the finals took center stage at King George V, the excitement was felt across the entire St. John’s metro region, with matches hosted at various pitches throughout the area.
