Advanced Coach Education Program

Overview

The B Diploma is designed to develop a coach’s capacity to train youth and senior amateur players in a development environment. It is targeted at coaches working in Youth Standards-Based Leagues, College/University programs, or Youth Academies.

Prerequisites

To apply, you must meet all the following criteria:

Licence

Valid Canadian C Licence (held for 12+ months) or approved International Equivalent.

Role

Currently coaching a youth or senior team.

Clearance

Valid Criminal Record Check

Safe Sport Roster

Complete and up to date

Admissions Timeline

Apply (Jan 1 – Mar 31)

Applications close strictly at the end of the business day on March 31. Coaches will be expected to submit a 20 video of them coaching.

Review (April – May)

All applicants are screened during this period.

Notification (By May 31)

Acceptance or rejection notices are sent.

Acceptance

Selected individuals have 30 days to accept their spot and pay the fee in full.

Course Details

Format & Attendance

In-Person:
Two workshops (4 days each) comprising classroom and field work.

Online:
A mix of self-paced (asynchronous) and collaborative (synchronous) learning.

Attendance Policy:
Coaches must attend 100% of all sessions to be licensed.

Fees ($3,150)

Includes:
Mentor support, content access, facility rentals, onsite lunches during in-person sessions, digital tools, and Canada Soccer branded Nike equipment (excluding footwear).

Excludes:
Travel, accommodations, breakfast/dinner, and costs associated with filming practical sessions.
