Algarve Women’s Cup

Canada finished in 5th place at the 2000 Algarve Cup, the seventh edition of the women’s international competition organised in Portugal (hosted by the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol). After finishing third in Group B with three points (one win and two losses), Canada won 3:2 over Denmark in the match for 5th place on 18 March 2000. This marked Canada’s first participation in the Algarve Cup.
