Gordon Charles Arrowsmith... speaks English... he was just two weeks old when his family moved from London to Greenock... he was 21 years old when he started refereeing in Paisley, SCO... he was 21 years old when he started refereeing... he was 26 years old when he moved to Toronto in 1970... worked 25 years for the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force...

honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as a referee... recipient of the Ray Morgan Memorial Award in 1992...

served on the FIFA List of Referees and Assistant Referees for 10 years (1982-91)... over the course of his career as a Referee and Assistant Referee, he was appointed to matches in leagues including the North American Soccer League (1976 to 1982) and the Canadian Soccer League (1987 to 1992)... was appointed as an Assistant Referee to Canada Soccer’s National Championships (men’s Challenge Trophy and women’s Jubilee Trophy)...
