Tony Chursky... soccer family (son Alex)... he was deafened in one ear by the mumps... at age 15, he suffered a partial retinal detachment in his left eye... enjoyed sculpting, ballet... earned Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University... teacher at Charles Wright Academy Upper School...

honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as a player... honoured by the Soccer Hall of Fame of British Columbia and the Simon Fraser University Athletics Hall of Fame...

represented Canada in Olympic Qualifiers in 1971 and FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 1972... represented Canada at the Pan American Games in 1975... career 27 international appearances across 11 years from 1971 to 1981 with Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team as a goalkeeper, including 20 international "A" appearances... when he left international football in 1981, he ranked first all-time with 27 international goalkeeper appearances (ninth overall)...

with Croatia SC Vancouver, a Pacific Coast League playoff winner (Top Star Trophy in 1970-71)... with British Columbia, a Canada Games gold medal winner in 1973...
