Carl Valentine... speaks English... became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 1985 (through his career as a footballer in Vancouver)... it was noted in a 1986 FIFA Official Report that Valentine was “lightning quick”... earned his Canada Soccer Coaching B Diploma in 2002...

honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2003... honoured by the BC Sports Hall of Fame, the Soccer Hall of Fame of British Columbia and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Ring of Honour... part of the first Canadian team to play at the FIFA World Cup (Mexico 1986), recognised as a Canada Soccer Team of Distinction...
