said Simon of his first time in goal as a youth player, “I hadn’t been in net yet and I was very reluctant to go; I wanted to stay up and I wanted to score goals, but in that first game I made a few good saves and I was hooked ever after”... said Simon of getting hooked on the game, “playing in the backyard with my dad, I would always go up against the fence and he would take shots on me; I always look back on it (because) that was one of my favourite moments”...

he was 21 years old when he made his debut in the Canadian program in 2012 with U-23 coach Tony Fonseca... he was 22 years old when he made his debut for Canada (26 January 2013)... represented Canada at the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup... represented Canada in 2015-16 CONCACAF / FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 Qualifiers...
