Desiree Rose Marie Scott... she/her... speaks English... her mother was born in Winnipeg, MB while her father was born in Kingston, JAM... grew up participating in soccer, volleyball, track and basketball... she was eight years old when she started playing for Maples Cougars... enjoys singing, dancing... growing up, favourites included Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry, FC Barcelona... other favourites included Dwyane Wade, Usain Bolt, Boston Celtics... one of several players that had a cameo appearance in the “Colouful Canada” video that was produced to help unveil the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 Official Emblem on 14 December 2012... earned her certification as a zumba instructor in 2014...

with Canada at the Olympic Games, won a gold medal (Tokyo 2021) and two bronze medals (London 2012 and Rio 2016)... she was in fact one of three players that won three consecutive Olympic medals (Sophie Schmidt, Desiree Scott, Christine Sinclair)... Concacaf champion with Canada (2010)… represented Canada at three FIFA Women’s World Cups (Germany 2011, Canada 2015, France 2019)... in all, represented Canada at two Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016)... in all, won four Concacaf medals with Canada (2010 gold, 2012 silver, 2016 silver, 2020 silver)... won a gold medal with Canada at the Pan American Games at Guadalajara 2011... from Rio 2016, was noted by the Olympic Football Tournament Technical Study Group (”competitive defensive midfielder with good passing skills, linked defence and attack”)...
