Bruce Philip Miller... he was five years old when he started playing soccer... growing up in East Vancouver, he lived just a few blocks from fellow soccer player Bruce Miller... he retired from football after suffering a career-ending staph infection in 1985...

represented Canada in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and Olympic Qualifiers... career 14 international appearances across 11 years from 1974 to 1984 with Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team, including eight international "A" appearances...

with British Columbia, a Canada Games gold medal winner in 1977...

once told writer Dan Brown of his soccer career, “I was kind of a reckless player: I have an artificial knee, an artificial hip, I broke my nose three times and I broke a rib that punctured my lung”... as noted by the Seattle Sounders in 1980, “a very aggressive, scrappy player with a nose for the goal; can play either midfield or on the front line”...
