Peter Thomas Johnson... he was 17 years old when he started refereeing in 1952... he moved with his family to Canada in 1969... worked as a teacher... earned the English FA Coaching Award (1969)...

posthumously honoured by the Hamilton Soccer Hall of Fame...

in 1971, he was taken to the hospital after being injured from a disturbance during an NASL match (Rochester fans rushed the field)...

served on the FIFA List of Referees and Assistant Referees for eight years from 1974 to 1981, including one Olympic Games (Montréal 1976)... over the course of his career as a Referee and Assistant Referee, he was appointed to matches in leagues including the North American Soccer League (1971-1982)...

was appointed as a referee in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers... was appointed as a referee to the 1974 Concacaf Juvenile Tournament in Canada (he was one of four Canadian officials that took part in the competition)... was appointed as an Assistant Referee at the 1976 Men’s Olympic Football Tournament, including the Gold Medal match on 31 July 1976...
