Stephen Simon Hart... sports family (cycling cousins Gregory and Dickie)... he was 20 years old when he moved from Tobago to Halifax, NS, CAN in 1980 to attend Saint Mary’s University... earned a marine geographer degree at St. Mary’s... said in 2013 of his post-university (St. Mary’s) aspirations, “I thought I would come back to Trinidad and do environmental resource management”... earned his Canada Soccer Coaching A Diploma in 2003...

served as Canada team staff at one FIFA youth tournament (U-20 at UAE 2003)…

said Hart in 2001, “coaching must be a priority: we must qualify and retain coaches in this region (of Nova Scotia). Any development program is highly dependent on the quality of coaching”... also said Hart in 2001, “enthusiastic coaches draw enthusiasm off enthusiastic players.
