Peter Dinsdale... moved to Canada in 1967 to play in the North American Soccer League... he was 65 years old when he passed away in Port Moody, BC on 5 June 2004 (after a three-year battle with cancer)... earned his first-rate coaching certificate from the England FA...
as noted in a 1968 program, “rated an excellent tackler”... wrote the Huddersfield Daily Examiner in 2004, Dinsdale was “a non-nonsense and versatile half back”... said former teammate Ray Wilson, “his qualities as a footballer are illustrated by the number of matches he played for Town (239 appearances) and it would have been more had he not suffered a nasty leg injury early on”...
said Glen Johnson in 2018, “Peter Dinsdale was ruthless. He was left footed, good skill, good in the air, like the old-style defensive midfield/centre back that . He was tough, never gave up, and would run through a brick wall for the team”...
