posthumously honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as a player... posthumously honoured by the Québec Sports Hall of Fame (Temple de la renommée du soccer québecoise)... his brothers Paul-Émile and Roland Castonguay are also honoured members of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame...
with Montréal Carsteel FC, a Dominion of Canada Football Championship winner (Challenge Trophy in 1948)... a two-time Coupe du Québec winner (1939, 1948)...
