Harold Peter Capozzi... he was 86 years old when he passed away on 21 November 2011 in Kelowna, BC (his funeral was held at Charles Garnier Catholic Church)... earned Bachelor of Arts (social sciences) from the University of British Columbia in 1947... also earned a degree in commerce from the University of British Columbia... accepted a Rotary International Scholarship to study at the University of Perugia for two years... was co-founder of Keg Restaurants... was instrumental in bringing McDonald’s Restaurants to Canada... served as a director for EXPO 86... he received the Order of British Columbia in 2008... per his request, his epitaph reads “the rumours of my death are highly exaggerated”...
honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame... honoured by the Vancouver Italian Cultural Centre Hall of Fame, the University of British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame, the BC Sports Hall of Fame, and the Soccer Hall of Fame of British Columbia...
