Michael Alexander Petrasso... soccer family (brother Luca)... speaks English... both of his parents Louie and Kim were born in Toronto, ON (his mother’s family comes Newfoundland Labrador)... he was born in Toronto, but actually his family was already living in neighboring Woodbridge... he was three years old when he started playing soccer for Kleinburg SC... grew up competing in soccer, hockey, track/field... enjoys running, music, hanging out with friends and family... favourites have included Lionel Messi, Andrea Pirlo, AC Milan... other favourites have included Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins...

represented Canada at one FIFA youth tournament (U-17 at Mexico 2011)...

said Petrasso in 2017, “one of the greatest memories of my childhood was staying at my nonno and nonna; that’s where I remember my childhood”... said Petrasso, “my nonno and dad always watched Italian soccer, so that’s where I got my craze for soccer, especially from my dad (because) he was the one that put me in soccer and he was my coach”... said Petrasso in 2017, “I moved to England when I was 16 and it was one of the scariest experiences of my life; when I first got the contract, I didn’t want to go, but my mom was the one that pushed me and said that opportunities like this might only come once in a lifetime”...
