Domenic Mobilio... soccer family (cousin Melissa Mobilio, cousin Nadia Pietramala)... he was 35 years old when he passed away on 13 November 2004... he was five years old when he started playing soccer... growing up, favourites included Bob Lenarduzzi... earned his Canada Soccer Coaching B Diploma in 2003...
posthumously honoured by the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2007... posthumously honoured by the BC Sports Hall of Fame, the Soccer Hall of Fame of British Columbia, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Ring of Honour, and the Vancouver Italian Cultural Centre Hall of Fame... in Coquitlam, the Domenic Mobilio Field at the Town Centre Sports Field Complex was posthumously named in his honour... part of the Canadian team that won a gold medal at the 1989 Jeux de la Francophonie, recognised as a Canada Soccer Team of Distinction...
represented Canada in three cycles of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and one edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup... career 30 international appearances across 12 years from 1986 to 1997 with Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team, including 25 international "A" appearances... represented Canada at one FIFA youth tournament (U-19 at Chile 1987)... Concacaf youth champion in 1986 (Concacaf Under-19)...
