Robert Allen... he was 83 years old when he passed away in Vancouver on 10 January 2022... growing up, favourites included Nick Glover... worked as a Vancouver Firefighter (from 1964-1998; retired as Battalion Chief)...

honoured by the Soccer Hall of Fame of British Columbia... recipient of the Ray Morgan Memorial Award in 1996...

with Vancouver Firefighters FC, a two-time Canada Soccer National Championships winner (Challenge Trophy in 1965 and 1973)...

said Robert Allen in 2018, “the Firefighters were the powerhouse (when I joined them in 1964). They had a very good team and I was just proud to be part of them”... also said Allen in 2018, “the Firefighters dressing room was something else. We had a winning appetite, it was just unbelievable”...
