Canada finished among the top-four nations at the 2012 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in USA, coming within a win of qualifying for the London 2012 Men’s Olympic Football Tournament. After finishing second in their group with five points (one win and two draws), Canada lost to eventual CONCACAF and Olympic champions Mexico on 31 March in Kansas City, KS.
